Visit to Emergency Room last night…

Last night I had to go to the ER after talking to my surgeon and getting his advice. I ended up with a small infection under the right side of my chest. I am pretty sure it was from trying out other bras other than the compression bra, too much friction there, and the guaze pads weren’t staying in place. I noticed things were oozing again but was keeping it clean and trying to keep it dry too. Well, yesterday, even though I had recently showered, I noticed an odor, which was nasty! So, called and was told to go in. They hooked me up to an IV in case I was getting septic and they needed to keep me, ran some strong antibiotics through me, did blood work, and an ultrasound on my chest. I will be fine! Just need to take some antibiotics for a bit.

Here’s the funny thing though! The nurse could smell my oil’s on me! She came in and said, “Someone smells really nice! It smells like Thieves in here!” and I laughed because I did not have Thieves on, but a mix of Clove and Melalueca! Close, I guess! She’s an oily nurse and uses Thieves and other oils too! LOL I am glad the infection funk did not overpower my nice smelling oils! LOL

And, despite the infection and odor of it, my white blood cell count was completely normal! No sign of infection other than a bit of oozing and smell, and a small pocket of infection on the ultrasound. I had only noticed the possible oozing the night before but had just showered so thought most of it was moisture from the shower. When I noticed a smell yesterday, I put oils on my skin above and below where I thought the infection was to help fight whatever was going on, without putting the oils too close to the area of infection. It absorbs into the skin so is helpful anywhere. I can’t help but wonder if that’s why I didn’t have a fever or any signs of infection in my blood even though it seemed pretty bad under my chest? I caught it fast, but I also used oils that are good for the immune system and fighting infections. πŸ€” And ohhh, did it drain out fast too! Between the oils and the IV of antibiotics, it flooded out fast! I had to take another shower, put fresh bandages on, and am back to healing! πŸ™‚ I just think it’s so funny the nurse smelled my oils and is an oil user too! She said many doctor’s won’t put enough stock in the usefulness of oil’s but she believes they help a lot. She said they aren’t a miracle cure for everything, but they are definitely healing in so many ways! We fist bumped! πŸ˜πŸ€œπŸ€› It’s nice to know some people research and know they have their uses, as long as you aren’t buying cheap, synthetically made stuff! The earth supplies all we need for health and healing! Doctor’s and nurse’s use these things too and while they have synthetically altered those natural things to make more powerful medications, the root of all of them starts with natural stuff! 😁

    1. Aww, thank you Jamie! I ended up having an allergic reaction to Bacitracin Zinc too, so it’s been a little rough going, but I’m healing and on the road to recovery! Thank you for caring and for the prayers too! I really appreciate it! I hope you are doing well too! If you want more oil’s, just let me know. I have some made up or you can also order directly from my website as a retail customer only and it’ll get delivered to your house. Oil’s like Lavender, Peace & Calming, and Vetiver are good for sleep, so is the roll on bottle of Tranquil, and they aren’t expensive, and last a long time. A drop goes a long way. πŸ™‚ Just let me know! Take care and if you need anything, or just want to chat, I’m here! Hugs and prayers back!
