Chemical Constituents: Monoterpenes (up to 95%): d-limonene (<92%), myrcene, α-pinene, sabinene, β-phellandrene; Tetraterpenes: β-carotene, lycopene; Aldehydes (>2%): nonanal, decanal, citral, citronellal; Furanocoumarins: aesculetine, auraptene, bergaptole; Sesquiterpene Ketones (<2%): nootketone (used to determine harvest time); Alcohols: octanol.
Properties: Antidepressant, antiseptic, disinfectant, diuretic, stimulant, and tonic.

French Medicinal Uses: Cellulite, digestion, dyspepsia, lymphatic decongestant, water retention.
Other Possible Uses: Grapefruit oil may help with depression, drug withdrawal, eating disorders, fatigue, gallstones, jet lag, liver disorders, migraine headaches, obesity, premenstrual tension, and stress. It may also have a cleansing effect on the kidneys, the lymphatic system, and the vascular system.

Aromatic Influence: It may help prevent one from drowning in his or her own negativity. It is balancing and uplifting to the mind and may help relieve anxiety.
Application: Apply to Vita Flex Points and/or directly on area of concern; diffuse. Because grapefruit oil has many of the same uses as other citrus oils, it can be used in their place when immediate exposure to the sun is unavoidable. This is because grapefruit oil does not have the photosensitivity that the other citrus oils have.
Oral Use As Dietary Suppliment: Generally regarded as safe (GRAS) for human consumption by the FDA. Dilute one drop oil in 1 tsp. honey or in 4 oz. of beverage (i.e. soy/rice milk). Not for children under 6 years old; use with caution and in greater dilution for children 6 years old and over.
