Copaiba (Co-Pie-abe-ah)

This is a very mild oil, great for teething babies or toothaches, all types of pain, and so much more. It is similar to Marijuana in its benefits but it’s completely legal and doesn’t cause a high or impairments of any kind.
Copaiba (Copal)

Botanical Family: Leguminosae (flowering plants)

Extraction Method/Origin: Steam distillation from oleoresin—Brazil, Ecuador

Chemical Constituents: Sesquiterpenes (up to 90%): β-caryophyllene (up to 52%), copaene (>15%), trans- α-bergamotene (>8%), α-cubebene, γ- & β-elemene, β-cubebene.

Properties: Analgesic, powerful anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiseptic, and stimulant (circulatory, pulmonary systems).

Common Primary Uses: TAnxiety, Tmuscle aches, Tpain.

Historical Uses: The oleoresin has traditionally been used for inflammation (internal and external), skin disorders, respiratory problems including bronchitis and sinusitis, and urinary tract problems including cystitis and bladder and kidney infections. It has also been used for bleeding, gonorrhea, hemorrhages, herpes, incontinence, insect bites, pain, pleurisy, sore throats, stomach ulcers, syphilis, tetanus, tonsillitis, tuberculosis, and tumors. All of these traditional uses have been verified by modern research.

Other Possible Uses: Copaiba may also help with colds, constipation, diarrhea, dyspepsia, edema, flatulence, flu, bacterial infections (internal and external), hemorroids, muscular aches and pains, nervous exhaustion, piles, poor circulation, stiffness, and wounds.

Oral Use As Dietary Suppliment: The oleoresin is generally regarded as safe (GRAS) for human consumption by the FDA when taken in small doses (less than 5 ml). It is also approved by the FDA for use as a Food Additive (FA) or Flavoring Agent (FL). Dilute one drop oil in 1 tsp. honey or in 4 oz. of beverage (i.e. soy/rice milk). Not for children under 6 years old; use with caution and in greater dilution for children 6 years old and over.

Safety Data: Repeated use can possibly result in contact sensitization.
