Botanical Family: Labiatae (mint)

Extraction Method/Origin: Steam distillation from flowing plant—France, Utah

Chemical Constituents: Esters (up to 75%): linalyl acetate (20–75%); Alcohols (20%): linalol (10–22%), geraniol, α-terpineol; Sesquiterpenes (<14%): germacrene-D (up to 12%), β-caryophyllene; Diterpene alcohols: sclareol (normally 0.5–2.5%, but 5–7% from double distillation in Utah); Monoterpenes: myrcene, α- and β-pinenes, l-limonene, ocimene, terpinolene; Oxides: 1,8 cineol, linalol oxide, sclareol oxide; Ketones: α- and β-thujone; Sesquiterpene alcohols; Aldehydes; Coumarins. (More than 250 constituents).

Properties: Anticonvulsive, antifungal, antiseptic, antispasmodic, astringent, nerve tonic, sedative, soothing21, tonic, and warming.

Common Primary Uses: TAutism, Tcholesterol,Tcramps (abdominal), Tcramps (menstrual),Tepilepsy, Thair loss, Themorrhoids, Thot flashes, TPMS, Tseizure.

Historical Uses: Nicknamed “clear eyes,” it was famous during the Middle Ages for its ability to clear eye problems. During that same time, it was widely used for female complaints, kidney/digestive/skin disorders, inflammation, sore throats, and wounds.

French Medicinal Uses: Bronchitis, cholesterol, frigidity, genitalia, hemorrhoids, hormonal imbalance, impotence, infections, intestinal cramps, menstrual cramps, PMS, premenopause, weak digestion.

Other Possible Uses: This oil may be used for amenorrhea, cell regulation, circulatory problems, depression, insect bites, insomnia, kidney disorders, dry skin, throat infection, ulcers, and whooping cough.

Body System(s) Affected: Hormonal System.

Aromatic Influence: It may calm and enhance the dream state, helping to bring about a feeling of euphoria.

Application: Apply to Vita Flex Points and/or directly on area of concern; diffuse.

Oral Use As Dietary Suppliment: Generally regarded as safe (GRAS) for human consumption by the FDA. Dilute one drop oil in 1 tsp. honey or in 4 oz. of beverage (i.e. soy/rice milk). Not for children under 6 years old; use with caution and in greater dilution for children 6 years old and over.

Safety Data: Use with caution during pregnancy. Not for babies. Avoid during and after consumption of alcohol.

Blend Classification: Personifier.

Blends With: Bergamot, cedarwood, citrus oils, cypress, geranium, juniper, and sandalwood.

Odor: Type: Middle to Base Notes (5–60% of the blend); Scent: Herbaceous, spicy, hay-like, sharp, fixative; Intensity: 3.
